Blog from computer yellow 3.

Once upon a time in a galaxy far far away, a long time ago .. about 5 minutes actually, nothing very much happened. Then nothing continued to happen, in a rather inevitable fashion.

Never mind.

On cricket: I don’t know what to think about Flintoff being selected as captain. It led in India to more responsible batting, sure. But what about his bowling? Will he know when and when not to bowl himself? Will he even be fit to bowl? If he isn’t fit, then I guess they go back to Strauss as captain, but Strauss now knows he wasn’t favourite for the position, so that may influence him, he may try to make some kind of point, and mess everything up.

And it IS the ashes too. So there is gonna be a bundle of pressure on these guys.

My team:
Trescothic (Can be brilliant, just not so far this year … hopefully hes saving up for the winter!)
Strauss (I hope he responds properly to not being selected as captain and goes and scores a few tons! ..)
Cook (Scored a double century against the Aussies when they came over here, so while he hasn’t played against them in a test, he knows he can succeed)
Pietersen (Has got to stop getting out to silly shots, and get stuck in!)
Bell (proven himself against Pakistan)
Flintoff (Obviously .. has to be fit though)
Read (better keeper, and Jones wasn’t batting well enough to be selected ahead of him on his batting skills only.)
Harmison (We need Harmison to be on his top form I think … otherwise he does tend to leak runs, bowl lots of wides etc)
Panesar (Better bowler than Giles, and you need 20 wickets in a match)
Mahmood (or Broad, but Mahmood would be useful for his reverse swing and pace, I don’t like the consistency of either of these 2 yet though)
Hoggard (excellent against lefties, and very consistent)

4 bowlers, yes, if Flintoff can’t bowl his full quota we will need the other bowlers, don’t want to be left with Pietersen’s off spin.

…better go, don’t want to be late for maths, eh?
