Blog from computer yellow 3.

Once upon a time in a galaxy far far away, a long time ago .. about 5 minutes actually, nothing very much happened. Then nothing continued to happen, in a rather inevitable fashion.

Never mind.

On cricket: I don’t know what to think about Flintoff being selected as captain. It led in India to more responsible batting, sure. But what about his bowling? Will he know when and when not to bowl himself? Will he even be fit to bowl? If he isn’t fit, then I guess they go back to Strauss as captain, but Strauss now knows he wasn’t favourite for the position, so that may influence him, he may try to make some kind of point, and mess everything up.

And it IS the ashes too. So there is gonna be a bundle of pressure on these guys.

My team:
Trescothic (Can be brilliant, just not so far this year … hopefully hes saving up for the winter!)
Strauss (I hope he responds properly to not being selected as captain and goes and scores a few tons! ..)
Cook (Scored a double century against the Aussies when they came over here, so while he hasn’t played against them in a test, he knows he can succeed)
Pietersen (Has got to stop getting out to silly shots, and get stuck in!)
Bell (proven himself against Pakistan)
Flintoff (Obviously .. has to be fit though)
Read (better keeper, and Jones wasn’t batting well enough to be selected ahead of him on his batting skills only.)
Harmison (We need Harmison to be on his top form I think … otherwise he does tend to leak runs, bowl lots of wides etc)
Panesar (Better bowler than Giles, and you need 20 wickets in a match)
Mahmood (or Broad, but Mahmood would be useful for his reverse swing and pace, I don’t like the consistency of either of these 2 yet though)
Hoggard (excellent against lefties, and very consistent)

4 bowlers, yes, if Flintoff can’t bowl his full quota we will need the other bowlers, don’t want to be left with Pietersen’s off spin.

…better go, don’t want to be late for maths, eh?

another day, another post

Ow! .. my eyes! .. College computer screen is completely out of focus. It is reaaally bad! … seriously, you’d think that Yale college, at the forefront of all technological boundary breaking, would have at least managed to get the computer screen to be in focus.

Shocking!

Anyway, I remembered what I liked about my time table last year, getting to sleep beyond the hour known as half 6 on Tuesday morning. I guess they took all the trees and put them in a tree museum.

Hmm .. wisdom for the day?:
When in doubt, do as the doubters do?

I dunno, does that sound wise to you? If it does, you’ll probably appreciate any forthcoming words of wisdom, maybe you should buy a little book to keep them all in. If you do, I shall of course demand that you title it ‘Dan’s Many Words Of Wisdom’

Or something like that.

contradiction: it is happening!

yup, another blog post from that blogger commonly known to be anything but prolific in his production of short little notes of wisdom, or even comments on how his day went (or was going)today. It is going well thanks, by the way.

First up music, where we listened to a lot of weird and wonderful(? .. how did that word get in there?) music. Serialism (not musicians going around killing lots of people ... 12 tone sequence stuff), and other isms ... yay! (and we got chocolate!)

(and I was best at composition last year ;D )

just finished the first half of further maths, that half that would be statistics ...

I am now amusing Manu(friend from pure maths) by typing while I stare continuously away from the keyboard (at him).. I don't know really .. it could be ok. (sorry, he asked how fast I could type .. I forgot I could actually say outloud or something)

next bit of further maths is just about to start, I should probably go really ... :( .. I have loaaaaads of 'free' time tomorrow, so I may post again then :) .. we'll see)

no wisdom for today, sorry.

.. have a good evening ..

hooray, I'm back! ...

... at college

... on college computers

... yay ;)

... on a happier note, I am sitting next to the blog master that is Tim, as he churns out another post, chortling merrily to himself n his own inimitable fashion ...

ohh, a bit of backspacing action from the man they know as Tim .. now his fingers tap away diligently and he frowns at his keyboard, as if it has mortally offended him in some strange, inconcievable way. He pauses momentarily for a break from his ruminations upon the way of college computers .. hmm .. hes reading my post!

better go, maths calls :)
